“What makes you dink you can sneak around in a cloak and mask like it’s Halloween?” Gerrit asked the man who had come to the ranger station. He had been getting ready to call it a night and leave when he his keen senses had noted that something wasn’t right in the building. He had searched and found the person, tackling him to the ground.

“Oh you know, just felt like going out and about in ridiculous outfits,” the masked man said. ”It’s a lot of fun you should try it.” Gerrit scoffed and grabbed the man’s chin.
“Who’s under dat mask?” He let out a grunt, though, when the stranger’s foot collided with his stomach, sending him flying over him and onto his back.
“This ain’t a peep show, buddy,” the masked figure told him. Gerrit spun around, having pulled out a gun and aimed shots at the figure, who moved quickly to avoid the bullets. ”Yeesh! Talk about overkill for a bit of B&E for a Ranger’s station!”
Did he know that there was something hidden? No, he couldn’t have. They had been quiet with their dealings. Gerrit aimed another shot, managing to nick him in the shoulder.
The gun soon ran out of bullets so Discarded it and reached instead for a sword. Something they kept randomly in the place and he liked it.
“Woah now, this isn’t entirely fair,” the stranger said, avoiding the blade and dashing towards an exit. He leapt out of a window, Gerrit following him quickly.
The strange man knew he couldn’t get what he wanted tonight but Gerrit wanted to make sure that he wouldn’t be returning. The pair dashed through the woods, avoiding various obstacles. Eventually, though, Gerrit reached out and grabbed the cape as they came to a train track. He thrusted his sword at the man’s back but he moved quickly, avoiding it and landed a punch on Gerrit’s face.
He quickly recovered though and slammed his knee into the masked man’s stomach, moving his sword to swipe at his head. Seeing the move coming, he blocked it and disarmed the sword.
“There, now it’s a bit more fair,” he said, still getting his breath from the gut strike. He grabbed Gerrit by the waist, tackling him to the ground. The pair rolled, giving strikes until they both rose to a stand, fists at the ready.
Gerrit avoided a strike, only to be kicked in the back. He spun around and grabbed the man’s leg and threw him towards the train tracks.
The sound of bone on metal echoed through the woods and the man stilled. Gerrit examined him, but heard the distant sound of a train whistle.
Let the authorities think it was an accident. He picked up his sword and left the scene…
Leaving the masked man to die.
